Bullying is common nowadays. Idiots who think that they are cool, pick on so called 'nerds' or 'fat-ass', and start calling them funny names and bully them. As a result, those victims are emotionally hurt.
I have a friend, who was once a victim of bully. He is 'big size' and many people from the class next door often call him 'fatty' or 'fat ass' and stuff. At start, my friend ignored them. Whenever he was bullied, he would turn a deaf ear and pretend that nothing happened. Days went by and he was still bullied every now and then. He started fighting back. He started by calling them 'skinny ass'. However, things were heated up and my friend threw the bully a heavy punch. After that, the bully kept quiet for a period of time. A leopard would never change its spots. The bully is back in action. Things went back to before.
My friend continued ignoring them until one day, he could not control and tears welled up in his eyes and rolled down his cheek. He finally cried. he was emotionally hurt. Hurt very deep. Our brave class monitor brought the victim to see the discipline master. He explained everything in great detail and justice prevailed. Action was taken against the bully.

I will never ever forget that Sunday. It was the most splendid thing I had done so far. It was my first time having such an experience. How I wished that I could do it more often.
Last Sunday morning, I went to the park with my family. We prepared a picnic. Before the picnic, we went cycling for two whole 'solid' hours. We had fun racing each other. We rode continuously without taking a break. The wind blew onto our faces as we ride against the wind. It seems that the wind blew our fatigue away too. Time passed and soon we had to return the bikes. I gulped down a bottle of coke, which I bought from the shop.
Next, my father went to the car to fetch the soccer ball. We had a game of soccer. Three against three - me, my brother and father against my cousins and uncle. We had a whale lot of a time. As usual, I will solo as a striker. I was thrashing the other team single handily until my energy drained out. I went back to defence position. When we were all tired, we decided to end the game and continued with the picnic.
We all went to the car to fetch the food, tent and mat. We layed the mat by the beach and pitched the tent just beside the mat. The ladies prepared the meal while the man took a dip in the cooling water under the noon sun. It felt food.
Time passed with our laughter and we had to pack up. I could not bear to leave the place. We had much fun that day.

A moment spent alone doing something I enjoy.

My favourite past time is playing soccer. I do not mind playing soccer alone. Usually, if I am alone, I still willhave as nmuch fun. I will do some juggling of the soccer ball, do some shooting or some accuracy work. I prefer the shoting part though. I will go to different parts of the field to shoot the ball into the goal post. Of course, I will shoot at a certain distance. By doing that, I am training my sarpness and accuracy.

I like to juggle the soccer ball. However, I am not reallt good at it. In fact I suck at it. So, the more I cannot, the more I must! I will usually set a target number for myself and juggle the ball the number of times. It is not easy.

Another thing is dribbling the ball. I try to do it with speed and do some tricks on the way, like step-over and stuff. I will also try to correct my footwork. Sometimes, I willkick the ball into the air and and try to header it the ball or control it when it lands. Heading the ball in the air. When the ball comes into contact with my head, I will try to control the bal to the direction I want.

Being alone does not mean no fun, It depends on how you want to have fun. It is one of the few moments spent alone doing something I enjoy.

A problem I encountered and how I managed
it.

I had never really been a sportsman. From young, I had a frail and weak body which was unsuitable for sports. So, I hated PE lessons at school and would often find ways and means to skip them. I succeeded most of the time, and my lack of physical activity affirmed my belief that I was not cut out for any form of sport.

One day, I was slouching in ront of the televison set, playing my couch potato role again as usual. I was watching the SEA Games, and the event on telecast was the 100m dash. I was impressed by the speed of the runners. "How cool would it be if I can sprint as fast as them?" I thought.

I turned to my father, who had always encouraged me to take on a sport, and ask him if sprinting was tough to pick up. To that, my father replied," Son, everything that is worth is tough. It is all up to you, whether you want to make that sacrifice."

I replied that I was too weak to take up any sport. My father, who was then fed up with my excuses, replied forcefully," If you cannot, then you must!"

I was taken aback by my father's sudden outburst. I realised that I had been making too many excuses and perhaps the only thing I could do for myself was to stop rationalising and to start doing something with my life.

The next day, I went to the stadium and enrolled myself in the track and field course. At first, the training was tough as my body was unaccustomed to the rigorous exercise that was required of me. However, over time, my body toughened and was able to keep up longer in my training.

Soon, the school nationals arrived and I was selected to represent my school. Most of my classmates taunted at me, saying that I will never get the gold meedal, as the other exponents were much stronger and more experienced.

"If I cannot, then I must!" was my only reply.

Something unusual that happened that day

I am a young man of barely fourteen years of age. I have many good friends, mostly my classmates. One of whom, is my best friend. His name is Gary. Gary is sitting right in front of me in class. He is like a "happy-nut". We often share jokes and afterwards, laugh out loud together. Most of our jokes are stupid. We consider every funny thing as our joke.

That day, Gary played a prank on me. Although he went overboard, I knew that he posed no evil intentions. First, he took my textbook and put it on the floor. I instructed him to pick it up and return it to me, but he did not move a budge. So I had no choice but to do it myself. By the time I return to my seat with my textbook, I realised that he put my workbook too, on the floor. I warned him not to do it again and went to pick up my workbook.

After recess, I found out that my correction tape was pulled out. Although it was already half used, the other half can still be used. Needless to ask, I knew it must be Gary again. At that moment, I flew up and went berserk. I took out my deodrant and sprayed it at his face for more than ten seconds. Next, I threw my solid fist at him and went back to my seat.

When I reached home, I thought about the unusual attitude in me that day at school. Usually, I could take all sorts of jokes and pranks from Gary. However, I do not know what went into me for flewing into such a rage. I am sorry, Gary.

'Interest' a very interesting word. Everyone has their own interest. From drawing to dancing, from running to gaming, we all have our choice. When we think about our interest, some of us will say that he or she does not know his or her interest. It is not that we do not have interest in something. It is our choice. We make our own decision for ourself. It is only a matter of whether we take our interest seriously or do not give a hood about it. I too, have my very own interest.

Well, my interest is playing soccer. Soccer is a very tough and challenging game. Many people who do not appreciate soccer, will say that it is just chasing after a ball. Yes, I agree that in the game of soccer, chasing after the ball is part of the game. However, a good game of soccer is how we control the ball's movement and direction instead of running after the ball without an aim.

Other then controling the ball, the good game of soccer also requires thinking. We need to think about the strategies : how to attack-meaning to 'put' the ball into the opponent's goal post-and how to defend. We also need to make good passes to our team mates as soccer is a team game.
Team work is very important within the team. It is the basics of soccer. Only with team work, will you soar.

I developed my interest in playing soccer when I was in primary 4. I watched my seniors play soccer. They did many tricks that amazed me. All along, I thought only brazillian soccer players could do those tricks. I was inspired by my seniors. When I was in primary 5, I joined the soccer CCA. I trained with my heart and soul and my efforts paid off. I was made captain of my team when i was in primary 5 and 6.

Although our team did not win any competitions, we had a whale lot of time playing and training together. Laughter drowned our fatigueness. Now, I am in Victoria School. Same, I join soccer as my CCA. The training is 4 times a week. It was by right 3 times a week but currently 4 now as competition is nearing and we are all feeling the heat. I hope to get into the school's soccer team and together with my team mates, clinch the National Champion title! Nil Sine Labore
